She was an icon on The Bachelor, and now she's everybody's fave influencer and on-camera personality. Get the chic and fun style of Rachael Kirkconnell x DIFF now, with shades that take a little retro inspo and mix that with modern attitude.
I sometimes struggle with my personal style because I love so many different types! At the end of the day, I always go back to comfort and confidence. I lean more towards simplicity with pops of color, or pieces you can really mix and match. I feel like that’s exactly what this collection embodies, a lot of the sunglasses can be worn with almost anything, dressed up or down. I also threw in a few fun colors that can be the centerpiece of an outfit or add some personality.
I definitely find myself constantly romanticizing the 90s! I love the music, the film, the fashion. I love the nostalgia and the comfort. I was just a kid, and it’s the era that I wish I could experience now at my current age. Last year, I was watching so many 90s films and I found myself really loving not just the clothing, but the accessories and the way they styled their outfits. I loved every single pair of sunglasses that I saw, and a lot of them really inspired me for this collection.
It’s so hard to pick just one! Maybe Just A Girl by No Doubt. Breaking Up the Girl by Garbage. Charm Attack by Leona Naess. Really anything from my '90s playlist :)
I was really hoping to channel confidence! I find myself struggling with my self-confidence at times, but sometimes all it takes is putting on a good pair of sunglasses to feel like I could run the world. They can be like my security blanket, and help me feel confident, fun, and sexy. I hope everyone who wears this collection feels that way, too.
This goes back to when I was watching a lot of '90s films and feeling so inspired by the accessories and sunglasses in particular. I fell in love with the sunglasses that Julia Roberts wears in Erin Brockovich, so the Julias were very inspired by her. I also wanted to tie in 90s fashion icons since I feel like sunglasses are such a major accessory and can really make an outfit. The first person I thought of who was always wearing really big, fun, cool-girl shades was Miss Naomi Campbell. Lastly, the Trinitys might just be my favorite because not only did we get to do a mixed metal pair of sunglasses (which has always been on my wish list but something I’ve never been able to find), but I also got to name them Trinity after my baby sister. Trinity is also one of my favorite and one of the most iconic female characters from the 90s, so it was pretty perfect.
