How does your personal style come through in this collection?
I designed these frames based on my personal style - glasses that I would reach for daily and are versatile enough to go from shooting a fashion campaign for Instagram to picking up my daughters from school. Every single detail was thought of, from the perfect tortoise color to the size and shape of the pearl strands. I love that these styles all look designer, but still pair perfectly with everyday looks!
The frame names are so meaningful — can you share the story behind them?
All of the frames are named after meaningful people in my life. You might recognize the names of my daughters, Collins and Kennedy, as they are my reasons for living! The other frame is named after my late grandmother, Nancy, whom I affectionately called "Gramma." She passed away last year, but played such a huge role in my life and really influenced my love for fashion from a young age. She was always the most stylish person in the room!
You’re known for timeless style — how do these frames work from season to season?
Oh, I cannot WAIT for fall this year, it will be these sunglasses' time to shine! I wanted to design a collection that was neutral enough to take you right from summer into fall and winter. I'm particularly excited for all of the tortoise frames because the color is a rich, luxurious brown that will pair perfectly with fall boots. The Kennedy frames, especially in the brushed gold, will look gorgeous with a chunky sweater and a little bit of gold jewelry!
You love mixing high and low fashion — why do these frames work just as well with designer pieces as they do with everyday looks?
I think the cool thing about these frames is that because they look so luxurious, they really elevate any look. You could take an outfit of leggings and a sweatshirt and turn it into a chic look just by adding a pair of these sunglasses and a cute handbag. Likewise, they are the perfect finishing touch for a full-designer, fashion-forward look!
