DIFF is excited to announce our partnership with Sightsavers, an international organization leading the charge in providing vision to billions of people around the world (yes, billions!), as part of our 2020 Vision to expand our global impact.

In 6 years, DIFF has been able to provide over 2.0 million people with the reading glasses they need and in these past 4 years, we have learned that we can do even more than donate solely reading glasses. Through our partnership with Sightsavers, we can positively affect the lives of more people around the world by providing them with the vision health services they need.

Now, every pair of DIFFs sold helps to provide the gift of sight to someone in need through eye exams, surgeries, glasses, medicine, and more.

Sightsavers helps train local health workers who make vision checkups more accessible to everyone around the world. Like Bartwell, who received an eye exam at an outreach in his rural village in Malawai, Mpandasoni Village.

Sightsavers has provided 4 million pairs of glasses to allow people to see more clearly. Like Shadid, who received his first pair of glasses from a Sightsavers project in the urban slums of Patna in Bihar, India, and got to enjoy reading for his classmates.

Your support can help provide a quick, painless surgery to treat cataracts from the eye. Meet Criscent, a 6-year-old boy from Bundibugyo, Uganda, whose double cataract surgery, supported by Sightsavers, restored his vision and allowed him to enter school for the first time.

Sightsavers has provided over 1 billion treatments to prevent eye diseases, like River Blindness and Trachoma, which cause severe discomfort and can lead to blindness. Together, we help provide the medication that can help eliminate these devastating eye diseases.

Worldwide, 2.2 billion people have a vision impairment and of these, at least 1 billion people have a vision impairment or blindness that could have been prevented or is yet to be addressed. We are excited to be working in partnership with DIFF in a joint effort to create a world in which everyone has access to the vision care they need.
